Tyler's Passion!!!

Those of you who know Tyler, he eats, drinks and breaths SOCCER!!!. Here are a couple of pictures of him this season. He is playing with Utah Steam and has loved to be able to play soccer almost everyday, normally 2 practices and 2 games a week. Mom and Dad sometimes wishes there was a break in between seasons, but we have not been that lucky. In the fall, the team struggled, but this spring they are doing fantastic. They have 2 make-up games left and they only need to win one of them and they will be ranked number one in their division and they will move up to a state team I think. (Do I really want that??? travel more??? Oh Please Help Us!!!) During the winter he played 3 sessions of indoor soccer and that was a lot of fun to watch and for him to play. The coach started him playing goal keeper 1/2 of each game (A little bit of stress for mom and dad). He actually likes doing it, even though he enjoys playing forward so he can score, he does great at either position. GO STEAM!!!

Brieanna's Tumbling Meet

Saturday Brieanna had her first tumbling meet. She has been going to Flipside since about October of 2007. She can now do her back hand spring on the mat and on her friends trampoline. She is hoping to join the competition team in the next month or so. She loves it and looks forward to going each week. She did a great job this weekend and we are so proud of her!

Easter 2008

Easter was so early this year, March 23rd. Troy and Tyler went on a boy scout camp out Friday and Saturday of this weekend. They had a great time, especially Tyler. (Even though they froze). Whenever Tyler does things like that he always says Dad that was the best day ever. He loves to camp and be with his dad.

Brieanna and I hung out and then on Saturday we went to Grandma PG's house for an Easter party with all the cousins. We had a great visit and after some coaxing, Brieanna actually participated in the Easter egg hunt. (She has never liked them from even as a little girl) There was a bubble machine so we had bubbles everywhere we went. FUN TIMES!!!

Sunday we just hung out as a family. I cried when I was taking pictures (shocker I know) because this was the first year that we have lived here that we have not had flowers to take pictures of in the background. I survived and the kids were still as cute as can be.

Brieanna's Piano Recital March 2007

Brieanna started taking piano lessons back in January. Julie Snow is an excellent teacher and Brieanna has loved going each week and I don't even have to remind her lately to practice, she does it on her own most mornings before school. This is a video and photo of her first recital with Julie. I am proud of her and her accomplishments in just a couple of months. She is now preparing for her next recital.

THINGS ALWAYS WORK OUT

I know that we all have times in our lives when we feel like we are overwhelmed with challenges. Here is a quote by President Gordon B. Hinckley that has helped us this past month or so and maybe it will help you as well when challenges come your way.

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. If you do your best, it will all work out. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us... If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers"

The Big News!!!

Our Heavenly Father has decided to send us another little spirit to raise. Yes, I am pregnant!! It came as a shock at first, but we soon became very excited. The day I found out, Troy and I decided that we both needed a priesthood blessing so we invited Troy's dad up for a visit. We knew that we would need to announce why he was giving us a blessing and the kids would also be there so I very strategically took a picture of my belly (That task was harder than I thought it would be by myself), developed the picture and waited for the big moment. Troy showed Tyler and Brieanna the photo and asked what it was, they did not catch on as quickly as I would have though, but with some coaxing, they figured it out and tears soon came to Tyler's eyes and they could not repress their excitement.

For about a month after the announcement, Tyler prayed for a boy in each prayer that he uttered and Brieanna a girl. After I explained that the sex of the baby was long decided those pleas were not as often and they turned into hoping that the baby is healthy.

There will be 10 years between Brieanna and this little one and I sometimes think of the things that I have to start all over doing, but I can't express the joy that I have to have another little one in our lives. Tyler and Brieanna are going to be such big helps and babysitters when that time comes. Oh! the due date is October 3rd. I am hoping that I make it close to that date, but with my track record, it may be sometime in September. We will wait and see.
